New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado has agreed to a two-year, $9 million extension, multiple media outlets reported Saturday.
Alvarado will get a player option for the 2026-27 season as part of the deal, per the reports.
In 56 games off the bench last season, Alvarado averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals. He finished sixth in Sixth Man of the Year Voting.
Alvarado, 26, has spent his entire three-season NBA career with New Orleans, posting averages of 7.5 points, 2.2 boards, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals across 171 games (11 starts). He went undrafted in 2021 after playing at Georgia Tech.
