Warren Ashurst’s best bets for Saturday’s five top-flight fixtures include wins for both Newcastle and Fulham.
It might be FA Cup semi-final weekend, but there is still plenty of Premier League action to look forward to on Saturday.
There are no fewer than five top-flight matches across the afternoon of April 26th, with two top-five contenders in action, as Chelsea face Everton and Newcastle host Ipswich.
We have come up with a five-time Premier League betting accumulator to consider which, if successful, could return at 174/1.
Saturday Premier League tips
Chelsea v Everton: Everton double chance 11/8
Brighton v West Ham: Draw 16/5
Newcastle to win and BTTS 13/8
Fulham to win and BTTS 9/4
Wolves v Leicester: Jorgen Strand Larsen to score 23/20
Chelsea v Everton: Everton double chance
Last Sunday’s comeback win at Fulham 2-1 victory was Chelsea’s first away league win of 2025 and their form needs to improve if they are to secure a top-five finish.
Enzo Maresca’s men have won just five of their last 10 Premier League matches and last time out at Stamford Bridge were held to a 2-2 draw by Ipswich, who had been 2-0 up at half-time.
They now face an Everton team that appears determined to end the season on a high under David Moyes and held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Goodison in December, when lacking form and hampered by injuries.
Moyes’ squad have lost just two of their last 10 league games and their away form has been arguably better than on home soil.
It’s just one defeat in six away games for the Toffees, with that narrow 1-0 loss coming at city rivals Liverpool.
Brighton v West Ham: Draw
Only Everton and Arsenal have drawn more Premier League games than Brighton this season, with the Seagulls sharing the spoils 12 times going into Saturday’s clash with West Ham.
Neither team has won any of their last five league games, with two draws and two defeats for Brighton and three draws and two defeats for the Hammers.
Despite having only been appointed in January, West Ham boss Graham Potter is under a bit of pressure to end the season strongly and will want something from a trip to his former club.
The last two meetings between the sides have been draws, including a 0-0 at the London Stadium back in December.
Newcastle v Ipswich: Newcastle to win and both teams to score
A massive 38 points separate Newcastle and Ipswich in the standings, with anything less than a win on Saturday sealing the visitors’ relegation back to the Championship.
In contrast, the Magpies are currently sat fifth, in the final Champions League spot, and go into this clash having won their last four home league games.
Eddie Howe’s men have scored 15 goals during that run, although their 5-0 win over Crystal Palace was only the second time they had kept a clean sheet in the league at St James’ in 2025.
Ipswich will undoubtedly be going down, but it’s worth noting that they have scored in four of their last five games.
Fulham v Fulham to win and both teams to score
Marco Silva will be angry with how Fulham threw away the points against Chelsea next week and will expect a response against bottom-club Southampton.
Despite a poor recent run, the Cottagers can still qualify for Europe via the league and have already won at the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle this season.
The only solace struggling Saints can take is that they have scored in five of their last six Premier League matches.
Wolves v Leicester: Jorgen Strand Larsen to score at anytime
Wolves are the league’s in-form team at present, having won five straight league games going into Saturday’s home clash with Leicester.
The Foxes’ relegation was confirmed last week and the announcement that Jamie Vardy will leave the club will add to the doom and gloom around the club.
Matheus Cunha’s form has overshadowed a good first season at Molineux for Jorgen Strand Larsen, who has 12 Premier League goals to his name.
The Norwegian forward has scored five times in the last five games and is likely to start up top against Leicester on Saturday.
