What are you up to this weekend? Tomorrow we are going to the No Kings protest (you too?), and I’m really excited to chat with some Cup of Jo readers at breakfast on Sunday! Hope you have a good one, and here are a few links from around the web…

The one hair product I use every morning.

Keanu Reeves’s new movie Good Fortune looks fun.

How beautiful are Irving Penn’s flower photographs?

What a chic fall skirt.

Artist Pauline Caulfield’s London home tour. I never thought a plaid sofa could look so cool.

How to make a non-alcoholic Negroni. (NYTimes gift link)

What your favorite author says about you behind your back. Agatha Christie: “I bet I could murder them and get away with it.”

Who’s hungry for Spinach and ricotta gnudi?

Real photos that look fake. Hard to wrap your mind around!

The power of Diane Keaton’s emotional transparency. (NYTimes gift link)

Nostalgia!

And on Big Salad, 10 friends and readers share their fall uniforms. I loved Stella Blackmon’s chic way of belting a coat.

Plus, two reader comments:

Says Kay on Freddie and I have a movie-watching strategy: “Every night I do fairy fingers (does anyone else call it that?) on my 11-year-old daughter’s back as she falls asleep. She often asks me to tell her a story. But by that time of night, my brain is fried and I can’t come up with a whole plot with characters, so I’ve started telling her movie summaries. It’s actually so fun. It feels like I’m doing a podcast where I’m retelling a movie from my own point of view. “There’s this girl, Elle Woods…” She really loves it.”

Says Colleen Clark on angel food cake is the answer: “While we’re on the subject of throwback desserts: dirt cakes! Chocolate pudding mixed with crushed Oreos and Cool Whip [and gummy worms!]. Pure childhood joy that I’m sure would hold up today.”
