Manchester City won Group H at the Club World Cup in comprehensive fashion and they face Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in Tuesday’s last-16 tie in Orlando.

Club World Cup holders Manchester City have made a strong start to their trophy defence, beating Wydad AC 2-0, Al Ain 6-0 and Juventus 5-2 in their three Group H fixtures.

Pep Guardiola’s men looked back to their best against Juve and they are expected to outclass last-16 opponents Al Hilal on Tuesday.

Former Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi steered Al Hilal to second place in Group H, following up their draws with Real Madrid and RB Salzburg with a vital 2-0 victory over Pachuca on matchday three.

We have picked out an 11/2 bet builder in the Club World Cup odds for Tuesday’s game at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Citizens moving through the gears

After a frustrating 2024-25 European club season, City manager Pep Guardiola thoroughly enjoyed his team’s 5-2 Group G victory over Juventus on Thursday.

“It has been a long, long time since we had a performance like this on and off the ball,” the Spaniard said afterwards and the Citizens should kick on with a comfortable last-16 win over Al Hilal.

The Saudis are coached by Inzaghi, whose Inter side started their run to the Champions League final with a 0-0 draw against City at the Etihad Stadium last September.

Inzaghi has made an instant impact at Al Hilal, runners-up to Real Madrid in Group H, but their CWC run should come to an end against the Citizens, who scored 13 goals in three group matches.

Leg 1: Manchester City to win @ 1/3

Citizens defence could go untroubled

City kept seven clean sheets in their final 11 Premier League and FA Cup matches and they have also looked defensively sound at the Club World Cup.

Adding one or both teams not to score to the bet builder effectively means we are backing City to win to nil, which they managed in their first two Group G games against Wydad AC and Al Ain.

They conceded twice against Juve last time out, but the Italians had only five shots, two of which were on target, in 90 minutes, while Al Hilal needed a penalty to draw 1-1 with Real Madrid before their goalless stalemate against FC Salzburg.

Leg 2: Both teams to score – No @ 4/5

Juve goal may spark scoring spree for Savinho

Citizens winger Savinho scored only one Premier League goal from 55 shots in 2024-25, but he found the net in Thursday’s rout of Juve and that could open the floodgates for the winger.

Only Erling Haaland had more shots on target for City in the league than Savinho’s 21, so the Brazilian’s goal drought looks to be a statistical anomaly.

He scored nine times for Girona in La Liga in 2023-24 and, given the competition for places in City’s attacking unit, he will be desperate to sharpen up in front of goal.

Leg 3: Savinho to score at any time @ 11/5
