University of Kentucky Animal & Food Sciences Hall of Fame Induction
The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Department of Animal and Food Sciences annually recognizes individuals who have outstanding contributions to the department and Kentucky animal agriculture. This year, the department awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award to Tom Hammond, a sportscaster for NBC Sports Television and inducted Al Purnell Sr. of Purnell’s Old Folks Sausage Company into its Hall of Fame. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the highest honor given by the Department of Animal and Food Sciences.
