The Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky was pleased to host the inaugural meeting of eastern Kentucky’s Technology Student Association educators. Many central and western Kentucky schools have been active in TSA for several years but these are the first 17 school districts in eastern Kentucky to organize a Technology Student Association chapter thanks to a generous donation from Mr. Stan Pigman, an engineer formerly from Knott County. Mr. Pigman has a scholarship program at the University of Kentucky College of Engineering for eastern Kentucky students and has helped many obtain their engineering degree.
TSA members learn through exciting competitive STEM events, leadership opportunities and much more. The diversity of activities makes TSA a positive influence for every student. From engineers to business managers, TSA alumni credit the program as having a very positive influence on their lives. KYTSA is part of the national TSA and students from the eastern Kentucky region can progress to the state and national levels through competitive events. The Challenger Learning Center and HCTC will be hosting a KYSTA regional event in March 2022 for this region.
