UPDATE: Sep. 17, 2024, 10:40 a.m. EDT This story has been updated with the latest information about Prime Big Deal Days 2024, which has officially been announced for October.
We can hardly believe it: another Prime Day is coming. Just as we’ve seen the past few years, Amazon is bringing back Prime Big Deal Days, its October sale event that’s essentially another Prime Day. This comes just three months after July’s Prime Day, which brought some decent deals, but admittedly, didn’t blow us away.
That being said, we’re looking ahead to what a new event brings. Amazon just announced that Prime Big Deal Days will run from Oct. 8 through Oct. 9 this year, and we’re keeping our eyes peeled in the meantime for the best deals ahead of the event. Because even when there isn’t a big sale event, there are always live deals ready.
Amazon has already launched an early sale leading up to Prime Big Deal Days for Prime members, that includes up to 55% off Echo devices, four free months of Amazon Music Unlimited, and $10 off one GrubHub order of $15+ with the code: PRIME10.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
Back in August, Amazon announced that Prime Big Deal Days would be in October, and the mega-retailer just confirmed our suspicions that October Prime Day will fall on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9 in 2024. The event will run for a full 48 hours, and we’re already seeing early deals popping up.
What kind of deals can you find this year?
If you’re familiar with Prime Day, you know what to expect. Two days of glorious deals on almost every product imaginable including headphones, tablets, laptops, robot vacuums, and the list goes on and on. While these sale events sometimes have a lot of junk brands from third parties to avoid, there are also plenty of products from our favorite retailers including Apple, Beats, Eufy, and more.

The iPad 9th generation has dropped down to the spectacular price of $199, the lowest price we’ve ever seen on this iPad — and any iPad ever, really. So while it isn’t the latest generation, it is the most affordable.
This tablet comes with the A13 chip, a powerful processor that lets you stream, browse the internet, and even game. Normally $329, the sweet price of $199 saves you $130 for 40% off. The price has been hanging around for a few weeks now, but there’s no guarantee it will last until Prime Big Deals Day.

Best Amazon Echo deal
Why we like it
The Amazon Echo Show 8 works as a smart home hub that’s more than just a speaker. With a four-inch by eight-inch screen, it displays music, recipes, and even video calls with its built-in camera. Plus, if you want to stream your favorite Prime Video content while cooking, the Echo Show can do that too on its HD display.
Now down to $104.99, you can find the Amazon Echo Show 8 for 30% off. That saves you $45 before Prime Day’s dates are officially announced.

AirPods Max are stylish headphones with easy connectivity to boot. Just like the rest of the AirPods collection, the AirPods Max connect to iOS devices just by turning them on, plus you don’t need an auxiliary app to control them. While AirPods Max aren’t in our round-up of best headphones, we’ll still sing their merits as they possess excellent audio quality and good battery life.
A big hang-up we have with the AirPods Max is their price tag because at $549, you can find headphones with the same quality for far cheaper. However, when the AirPods Max are on sale, we’re all in. Ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, you can get the AirPods Max for $429, saving $120 for 22% off. This is just $50 short of their lowest price ever.

Best Bluetooth speaker deal
Why we like it
Maybe your Bluetooth speaker kicked the dust this summer after one too many pool parties. If you find yourself in the market for a new one, Prime Day is an especially great time to hit add to cart.
The Sony SRS-XE200 X-Series Bluetooth speaker is on sale ahead of Prime Big Deal Days. It comes with a corded strap, making it easy to tote around on your adventures. With a IP67 rating, it’s water- and dust-proof, giving it a rugged build. Not to mention the 16 hours of battery life keeping the party going all day.
Ahead of the October Prime Day, this speaker is down to $66.74, from $129.99. That’s 49% off for $63.25 in savings.

Who says you need to spend a grand to get a big, nice smart TV? This 50-inch Amazon Fire TV 4-Series is only $299.98 and features 4K Ultra HD resolution, Dolby Digital Plus, and HRD 10 for a brighter, clearer picture.
Amazon’s Fire TV is built-in, so you can watch your favorite shows, movies, and live TV channels from apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, etc. And because this is an Amazon TV, Alexa is just a voice command away. There are also four HDMI inputs for gaming consoles, cable boxes, and more.
The only caveat to this TV is that this model doesn’t support two-way video calling or hands-free voice control (you have to press the Alexa button to summon her help), but that’s not a dealbreaker when the price is this good.

Best TV and streaming deal
Why we like it
Is the Amazon Fire Stick 4K the best streamer we’ve ever tested? No, Roku takes the cake there. However, it still works perfectly fine, and not to mention, it’s hard to turn away from its delightful $30 price tag ahead of Prime Day. Having tested the Amazon Fire Stick TV, set-up is easy, as simple as plugging it into an HDMI port in the back of your TV.
While the home screen is a little clunky and slow, full of ads and promotions for Prime Video content, it is a dream for those who primarily stream on the site. Now it’s down to $29.99, saving you $20 and 40% off.

Best robot vacuum deal
Why we like it
Back in July, Mashable’s Leah Stodart wrote about her favorite Prime Day deal on the Eufy X10 Pro Omni robot vacuum. While Roombas usually get the most love when it comes to robot vacuums, the Eufy is a powerful competitor especially the X10 Pro Omni, which works as a dual vacuum and mop.
Stodart notes that, unlike the iRobot Roomba j9+, the X10 Pro Omni self-washes and dries its mopping pads, ensuring your floors are getting thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned. Ahead of Prime Day, it’s down to $679.99, saving you $120 for 15% off.

Listen: bathroom hygiene is cool and bidets are in. The Tushy Classic 3.0 is a simple, straightforward bidet attachment. While other bidets come with complicated controls and set-up, the Tushy has scaled back controls with a simple knob to control water flow. It’s compatible with most toilets and set-up takes under 10 minutes.
Leading up to Prime Day, you can find the Tushy Classic 3.0 for 24% off, knocking it down to just $94.99. That puts $29.96 back in your wallet.

Best Fitbit deal
Why we like it
The Fitbit Sense Advanced Smartwatch is ideal for wellness-focused users. The EDA Scan app detects electrodermal activity (AKA a stress meter), the ECG app, which is only available in certain countries and intended for people who are 22 or older, checks heart rhythm for signs of atrial fibrillation, and the built-in GPS lets you track your runs without your phone.
The battery lasts six days on a full charge, and the fast-charge function gives you a full day’s worth of use after just 12 minutes of charging (up to 12 hours with GPS mode on).

The Garmin Forerunner 265S functions as both a fitness tracker and a smartwatch, but its primary use case is for helping you keep an eye on everything your body does. It tracks your sleep, workouts, training readiness, recovery score, HRV, heart rate, pulse oximetry, and much more, with a morning report delivered to you each day about how you slept and what your day should be looking like in terms of fitness strategies. It has crisp, bright AMOLED display and lasts up to 15 days on a charge, too. With its 30 activity profiles, smartwatch options that let you stay synced to your phone and modern design, this is a great fitness tracker that can help you keep track of your day as well as your exercise.
